One of BRGM’s primary goals is to provide access to high-quality, geo-environmental data concerning all the various subjects covered by the organisation’s activities. Today, digital technology and data science are valuable tools for structuring, disseminating and exploiting data drawn from various different sources.

In accordance with its open-science policy, BRGM has therefore developed digital infrastructures and services to produce reliable, up-to-date information about the subsurface, including its state, properties and resources. In this way, the Survey provides valuable data that can be used to address a wide range of issues, ranging from climate change, sustainable regional development, resource management and natural risk management.
