Safeguarding the quality and availability of groundwater through sustainable management

Climate change has significant impacts on groundwater and so solutions are needed to safeguard aquifer recharge and water quality. BRGM has developed services to monitor and manage groundwater bodies, both in terms of availability and quality, in order to provide forecasts about changes in the state of aquifers at a national and local level.

Body
It also conducts research to establish how resilient different aquifers are to climate change and studies ways in which nature-based solutions could contribute to building effective local policies for sustainable water management.
