Faced with the challenges linked to the subsurface, it is essential to speed up the production of knowledge and make more-reliable predictions, by improving the ability to assemble existing data and develop high-performance numerical models. Integrating new technologies and digital resources is a major lever for achieving these scientific gains and transforming geoscience. Moreover, all the themes covered by BRGM, and even beyond, rely on acquiring and hosting geo-environmental data to make it available. This is why the institution has implemented an open science approach to all its activities in order to provide reliable, long-term information on the subsurface, its condition, properties and resources.
